SMILE AND BURN is known as a guarantee for wild live concerts, a humorous online presence, a clear political stance and a sound that drives forward. On their seventh studio album "Seid ihr stolz auf mich?" (Are you proud of me?) the cards are almost entirely reshuffled.
A new seriousness and gravity have taken hold and the winking gallows humor that previously ran through their lyrics has given way to introspective self-reflection. The band explores the charged concept of "pride" on a personal level, resulting in the most thematically dense work of their discography.
With more experiments in sound, airier song structures, and uncompromisingly melancholic lyrics, they ensure nothing is repeated. The punk rock SMILE AND BURN delivers on this 12-track album is more stripped down and raw than ever before. Ort der Veranstaltung
Im Waschhaus Potsdam, wo einst die Wäsche der Garnisonen rund um Potsdam gereinigt wurde, hat die Kunst Einzug gehalten. Mit Kunst, Tanz und Theater hat sich das Waschhaus auch über die Region hinaus einen guten Namen gemacht und lockt zahlreiche Gäste mit seinem abwechslungsreichen Programm in das heutige Kulturzentrum.
Die damals alte und verwahrloste Militärwäscherei wurde bereits seit 1993 von der gemeinnützigen Einrichtung zum Veranstaltungszentrum umgebaut und seit dem für regelmäßige Veranstaltungen genutzt. Auf mehr als 1.200 Quadratmetern Fläche ist hier genügend Raum für zahlreiche Ausstellungen, Aufführungen oder zum Party machen entstanden.
Kultur der unterschiedlichsten Art – egal ob Literatur, Kunst, Musik oder Events – lockt junges wie älteres Publikum ins Waschhaus. Besonders Nachwuchstalente stehen hier im Mittelpunkt und erhalten die einmalige Möglichkeit, sich vor größerem Publikum zu beweisen.
