Midlife Crisis is Iranian comedian Shahin Asmari’s debut English stand-up comedy special—a hilarious, honest, and surprisingly relatable story about taking the road less traveled, even when everyone tells you not to, and building a life that actually feels like your own.
Born in Iran, Shahin has spent most of his adult life making decisions that made perfect sense to him—and absolutely no sense to anyone else. From studying English literature against all expectations, to leaving a secure banking career, moving abroad, and eventually giving up corporate life to pursue English stand-up comedy in Europe, he’s been swimming against the current for over a decade.
Now 35, the Iranian comedian is calling his first special Midlife Crisis. Why? Because, as he puts it, Iranians don’t have the same life expectancy as Europeans—and besides, he already had his quarter-life crisis when he left Iran.

Von Konzerten verschiedenster Musikrichtungen über Comedy, Kabarett und Theater bis hin zu Partys und Flohmärkten. Der Kultur Palast Harburg bei Hamburg ist die ideale Location für diverse Events, die für jeden Geschmack was zu bieten haben.
Bereits im Jahre 1984 öffnete die Venue ihre Pforten für Veranstaltungen. Der Kultur Palast Harburg verfügt über einen Saal für bis zu 1.000 Personen sowie über sechs Gruppenräume. Neben den kulturellen Events kann man im Rahmen der Stiftung Kultur Palast auch an unterschiedlichen Programmen wie der HipHop Academy oder auch an Selbsthilfegruppen teilnehmen. Seit dem 11. Juni 2021 steht das Gebäude unter Denkmalschutz.
Der Kultur Palast Harburg befindet sich in der Rieckhoffstraße 12 in Hamburg. Mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreicht man den Veranstaltungsort mit dem Bus. Unweit befinden sich Haltestellen in der Moorstraße und am Harburger Ring. Von dort sind es circa zwei Minuten Fußweg. Zudem ist ein Parkhaus nahe gelegen, sodass auch die Anreise mit dem Auto möglich ist.
