Eivør is one of the most distinctive voices to emerge from the Nordic music scene, an artist whose work bridges ancient tradition and contemporary sound. Raised in the Faroe Islands, her music is deeply shaped by the stark landscapes and communal singing culture of her homeland, where music is both ritual and everyday expression.
Blending elements of Nordic folk, cinematic composition and modern production, Eivør has built a genre-defying catalogue across 11 studio albums. Her sound moves fluidly between the primal and the refined, combining raw vocal techniques, atmospheric textures and rhythmic intensity. In 2021, she was awarded the Nordic Council Music Prize, recognising her unique artistic voice and contribution to contemporary music.
Alongside her solo work, Eivør has gained international recognition for her compositions for film, television and games, including The Last Kingdom and God of War, where her voice and writing have helped define expansive, emotionally driven sound worlds.
Eivør is an established international live artist, having toured extensively across Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand in recent years. Following the release of her latest album ENN, she has continued to grow her global audience through major headline touring. Her live performances are known for their intensity and emotional depth, translating the physical and atmospheric qualities of her music into a powerful on-stage experience.
Eivør’s music occupies a dark, atmospheric space shaped by cinematic composition, ambient electronic elements and touches of alternative and Nordic -influenced sound. Rooted in tradition yet distinctly contemporary, her work carries a strong emotional undercurrent and a sense of physical presence. Now signed to Nuclear Blast, her latest music marks the beginning of a new chapter, more direct, intimate and sonically focused, while retaining the depth that defines her work.

Die Batschkapp gehört schon seit Jahren zu den angesagtesten Konzertlocations Frankfurts. Nirvana, Die Toten Hosen, Lenny Kravitz und Marteria haben in diesem Club dem Publikum eingeheizt. Und nachdem die Batschkapp 2013 in ein größeres Gebäude umgezogen ist, können wesentlich mehr Menschen den tollen Konzerten beiwohnen.
Schon seit 1976 gehört die Batschkapp, deren Name sich auf die Dialektbezeichnung für eine Schiebermütze bezieht, zur Frankfurter Club-Szene. Nach fast vierzig Jahren ist der Club aus Eschersheim weggezogen und hat sich in der Gwinnerstraße 5 im Stadtteil Seckbach niedergelassen. Hier präsentiert sich die Batschkapp nun in einem neuen und sehr viel größeren Gewand. In den großen Saal und auf die Empore passen insgesamt 1.500 Besucher. Die Kapazitäten der alten Batschkapp werden schon durch die Empore abgedeckt. Hinzu kommen technische Neuerungen und etwas mehr Komfort. Der Umzug aus den Gemäuern der alten Batschkapp wurde zwar immer wieder kontrovers diskutiert, aber die Verbesserungen, die für das Publikum spürbar sind, haben die Gemüter beruhigt. Die Batschkapp hat auch durch ihren Umzug nichts von ihrem Charme eingebüßt und lockt noch immer mit hochkarätigen Konzerten und Club-Nights.
