Was sagen die Habseligkeiten eines Menschen über ihn aus? Lasst es uns in einem Spiel herausfinden. Ihr erhaltet ein Blatt Papier. Darauf die Zeichnung eines vollgepackten Schreibtisches. Und Zahlen. Jede Zahl steht für ein Objekt. Jedes Objekt für eine Anekdote, eine Geschichte, ein Stückchen Leben. Ihr könnt eine Zahl auswählen. Und die Performance wird sich von selbst entfalten.
Inbal Yomtovian hat das Publikum bei Theater der Dinge schon mehrfach überrascht. Dieses Jahr kommt sie mit einem Objekttheaterstück ohne Objekte zurück nach Berlin. Inspiriert von den Arbeiten des Künstlers Daniel Spoerri und seinem Buch »Anekdoten zur Topografie des Zufalls« schafft sie einen starken Imaginationsraum, in dem sich humorvolle Banalitäten, biografische Wendepunkte und intime Verletzungen nebeneinander entfalten und die Ambivalenzen eines Lebens erfahrbar werden.

What do the belongings of a person say about them? Let’s find out over the course of a game. You receive a piece of paper. There is a drawing of a desk stuffed to the gills on it. And numbers. Each number stands for an object. Each object stands for an anecdote, a story, a piece of life. You can choose a number. And the performance will unfold before your very eyes on its own.
Inbal Yomtovian has surprised the audience of Theater der Dinge many times already. This year, she returns to Berlin with a piece of object theater without objects. Inspired by the work of the artist Daniel Spoerri and his book An Annotated Topography of Chance, she creates a powerful space of imagination where humorous banalities, biographical turning points and intimate injuries unfold next to each other and the ambivalences of a life can be felt.
